Program Committee for the IPSP in Nanomedicine

 The Curriculum Committee exercises the powers of the School Assembly, as this is an interdepartmental postgraduate program. It is formed by decision of the Senate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, following a recommendation by the Assemblies of the collaborating Departments, and consists of members of the Teaching and Research Staff (TRS). The number of members and its composition are specified in the Cooperation Protocol between the School of Medicine and the Department of Pharmacy.

  The Chair of the Curriculum Committee, based on the Internal Regulations of the Postgraduate Program in Nanomedicine, is the Director of the Postgraduate Program:

Director of the Postgraduate Program in Nanomedicine

   The director of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Nanomedicine is Professor of Medical Physics at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Efstathios Efstathopoulos. He is the Radiation Protection Officer at the Radiology Laboratory and the Nuclear Medicine Laboratory, as well as the Head of the Radiophysics Unit of the Second Radiology Laboratory of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Attikon University General Hospital. He is also a founding member and President of the Hellenic Society for Nanotechnology in Health Sciences (ΕΛΕΝΕΠΥ, www.hsnanohs.eu).

Deputy Program Director

   The Deputy Director of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Nanomedicine is Konstantinos Demetzos, Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology at the Department of Pharmacy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is the director of the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Technology and President of the Hellenic Pharmaceutical Society.
